The climbing in Abruzzo is spectacular and relatively undiscovered outside Italy.

Mainly sport climbing routes range from the 4b to the 8b you will find something to learn on or something more difficult for those who are more experienced.

Close to the house (15 minutes away) are the rocks of Pennadomo (nice free climbing video on the site) which provide a number of more challenging routes. It's west facing limestone and there are currently around 72 routes with technical face climbing up slightly overhanging slabs.
