Good rivers and lakes to go boating and canoeing

There are many rivers in Abruzzo running down from the Apennines to the Adriatic. The best of them for canoeing is thought to be the Tirino and excursions suitable for families are managed by the "Il Bosso" Cooperative.

There are also opportunities for slow water rafting but don't be put off by the word slow, it isn't always!
